Apple is expected to introduce the next 'e-series' iPhone model later this month, nearly a year after the launch of the iPhone 16e. While nothing has been confirmed yet, a YouTuber recently showcased what appears to be the first look at iPhone 17e.
The video, shared by YouTube by Jon Prosser, reveals the design of the upcoming smartphone. It features a refreshed design for iPhone 17e that replaces the notch with a Dynamic Island, along with MagSafe charging support. Prosser said he is "not 100%" in this aspect of the design.
This contradicts earlier leaks and reports that suggested that Apple will not have Dynamic Island on iPhone 17e and was expected to stick to the notch currently seen on the iPhone 16e model.

The iPhone 17e is expected to look quite similar to its predecessor in terms of design, but Apple might come out with new colour options for the upcoming handset.
Further, it is said to be powered by Apple's A19 chipset, though it might be a “binned” version with one fewer GPU core compared to the standard iPhone 17. It could have a single 48MP rear camera.
The tipster suggested that if the iPhone 17e gets the Dynamic Island, then Apple could include the new 18MP square selfie sensor.
Besides this, the smartphone is expected to retain the 6.1-inch display that offers up to 60Hz refresh rate and the 4,000mAh battery from the 16e. Further better connectivity, the device will reportedly get the new C1X modem and the N1 wireless network chipset. For now, it is not yet confirmed whether the Cupertino-based tech giant will add ultra-wideband support or expanded tethering.
Customers could expect slightly thinner bezels, based on supplier reports.
Earlier, Macworld.com reported that iPhone 17e can add MagSafe, supporting speeds up to 25W, which would be a major jump from the Qi-only limit of 7.5W earlier.
Release Date And Price
Recent leaks have suggested that Apple's budget-friendly option could arrive on Feb. 19. However, a release on Thursday would be unusual for the company as it has typically favoured early week announcements for its past models.
In his video, Prosser said the iPhone 17e could be announced at the starting price of $599 (nearly Rs 54,242) for the 128GB option. This means it will be sthe ame as iPhone 16e, which was launched at $599 for 128GB of storage last year.
