Mahindra Announces Prices For All BE 6, XEV 9e Variants; Nuvama Sees EV Sales Of Nearly 1 Lakh In FY27
The company had already announced the upper and lower end of the prices for both the models at Rs 18.9-Rs 26.9 lakh for BE 6 and Rs 21.9 lakh to Rs 30.9 lakh for XEV 9e.

Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the prices of all 9 variants of the BE 6 and the XEV 9e. The company has said that all the 9 variants across the two models will be available by August 2025. The bookings open on February 14, 2025.
The company had already announced the upper and lower end of the prices for both the models at Rs 18.9-Rs 26.9 lakh for BE 6 and Rs 21.9 lakh to Rs 30.9 lakh for XEV 9e.
Brokerage firm Nuvama estimates a capacity of 90,000 vehicles and expects sale of 48,000 electric vehicles in FY26. Nuvama also expects roughly 96,000 units to be sold in FY27.
BE 6 Prices Start From Rs 18.9 Lakh
The BE 6 will be available at a starting price of Rs 18.9 lakh with deliveries starting from mid March. This model has 5 variants. The top variant of ‘Pack Three’ has the bigger 79 kWH battery and a claimed range of 656 km.
The cheapest base variant ‘Pack 1’ which starts at Rs 18.9 lakh will be the last variant of the BE 6 model to hit the market in August 2025. This has a 59 kWH battery back. The ‘Pack Three Select’ is priced at Rs 24.5 lakh.
Mahindra also released a detailed feature list across variants. The Pack One Above has features like fixed glass infinity roof, auto defogger for windshield, and dual zone automatic temperature control, apart from the list of features of Pack One. The Pack Two has adaptive cruise control, L2 ADAS with 1 Radar amongst other features from the Pack One Above.
XEV 9e Prices Start From Rs 21.9 Lakh
Like the BE 6, the XEV 9e will also have deliveries starting mid-March and similarly have its higher priced variants at Rs 30.5 lakh with a bigger battery of 79 kWH available first with best-in-class power of 210 kW. One of the key features in this variant is the availability of L2+ ADAS with 5 Radars & 1 Vision Camera. XEV 9e has 4 variants and doesn’t have a ‘Pack One Above’ variant.
From the XEV 9e model, ‘Pack Three Select’ will be the 2nd model available after the Pack Three. This has a 59 kWH battery pack and is priced at Rs 27.9 lakh.
Pack Two and Pack One will be subsequently launched in July and August, respectively.
Nuvama Expects Sale Of 48,000 EVs For M&M
Mahindra recently unveiled its new dedicated state-of-the-art EV Manufacturing & Battery Assembly Facility in Chakan, Pune. The company claims this will be dedicated to producing electric origin SUVs. Mahindra has allocated Rs 4,500 crore out of the total Rs 16,000 crore planned in the F22–F27 investment cycle— which includes powertrain development, two product top hats including software & tech and manufacturing capacity.
Brokerage Firm Nuvama estimates a capacity of 90,000 vehicles and expects sale of 48,000 electric vehicles in FY26. This will form roughly 8% of its overall volumes in FY26. Nuvama also expects roughly 96,000 units to be sold in FY27, expecting a significant ramp-up, forming 15% of volumes.
UBS Sees Huge Market Size for M&M
UBS in a note mentioned the market size of BE 6 is roughly 44,000 vehicles per month. It estimates that roughly 50% of this market is with an average pricing of Rs 22 lakh. This benefits BE 6 model immensely.
The market size of XEV 9e is around 42,000 per month and it estimates that roughly 45% of the sale is priced above Rs 30 lakh.
