Auto Sales In January 2025: Rural To The Rescue

India's automakers are likely to show positive growth on the wholesales front in January 2025 due to a favourable base effect and greenshoots of a rural revival.

Passenger sales are likely to sustain their momentum, with mid-single digit growth, with Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. leading the pack. Among the two-wheelers, Royal Enfield and TVS Motor Co. Ltd. are likely to outperform the industry with double-digit growth.

Elsewhere, tractors and commercial vehicles should grow on the back of replacement demand and pickup in infrastructure spending.
