'No One Can Sell You A Visa Slot', Assures VFS Global CEO

VFS Global founder and CEO Zubin Karkaria has pushed back against concerns over scarce visa appointments and applicant data security, saying no intermediary can legitimately sell a visa slot and that the company does not retain biometric information. He said fingerprints, photographs and passport data are transmitted directly to the relevant embassy, government or designated server, while limited personal details are retained only for periods specified by individual governments before being automatically purged.
