The Apple iPhone 16e has been introduced as a more affordable option in the iPhone 16 series. And in the meanwhile, iPhone SE, iPhone 14, and iPhone 14 Plus have been discontinued.

If you were excitedly watching the launch of the iPhone 16e and debating whether the iPhone SE 4 launch would have been a better deal for you, then know something that you may have missed. If you owned any of the iPhones mentioned above, know that they have been discontinued by Apple after the launch of the new iPhone.
These iPhones are no longer present on Apple's website indicating that they will be discontinued.
This means there is only a limited amount of stock left in the market of these discontinued phones. Those that are still available in retail shops, or digital storefronts like Amazon, will dwindle. And soon, you will find that these smartphones are no longer available anywhere as Apple has stopped making them at all.
Notably, three generations of iPhone SE smartphones have been introduced, with the first generation of iPhone SE releasing in 2016, the second in 2020 and the third in 2022.
The first generation was discontinued in 2018 and the second in 2022.The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus were released in 2022.
In fact, Apple goes through a spring cleaning exercise on a regular basis. For instance, before this, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 15 Pro were discontinued in 2024 after the introduction of the iPhone 16 series of smartphones.
The Apple iPhone 16e , which is the latest entry in the iPhone 16 series, has been introduced as a more affordable option with the price of $599, $200 less than the iPhone 16 but $100 more than what was widely anticipated.
In India, the device is priced at Rs 59,990.
The smartphone is powered by Apple's A18 chip, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and packs Apple Intelligence.
It also has Apple's first modem, manufactured "in-house", known as the 'C1'. Before this move, Apple was using Qualcomm parts.
Apple claims that the iPhone 16e's 'ceramic shield' front cover is " tougher than any smartphone glass; and the toughest back glass in a smartphone".
