GTA 6 is expected to be launched later this year and fans are wildly speculating which character from GTA 5 may or may not return and what Arc is working on in the future. The game is set in Vice City, and returns to a place that people love, however, its timeline could limit appearances from characters from other games, especially those which take place before GTA 4. So, here is what the latest report has to say about GTA 6 vs GTA 5 on returning characters or those who may be killed off.
Significantly, figures from GTA 5, may not be altogether gone and one character in particular is a strong contender: Lester Crest.
Lester was the mastermind behind the biggest heists in GTA 5, helping to shape the game's narrative. He was invaluable, being able to plan and execute high-stakes heists, and his return in GTA 6, could add an interesting twist. While his skills are appealing he does have a personal journey that may well be suggesting otherwise. That will definitely leave fans worried.
Lester has always been different from many Grand Theft Auto 6 protagonists, who often end their stories in a better position after their criminal exploits. He was a strategist, but a key question remains: does his story even need a continuation? A hard look may be in the negative.
By the end of GTA 5, Lester had financial security and was happy to disassociate himself. While GTA 6 can obviously bring him back, it might be more plausible for him to disappear. Do note, that for now, it's all speculation, and as Rockstar has remained quiet in regards to returning characters, nothing can be said for sure.
