The upcoming iPhone 17 series of phones from Apple may use Samsung's M14 panels, according to a notable tipster.
"The iPhone 17 Vanilla/Air is now equipped with the M14 panel," posted the tipster, who goes by the name of 'Jukanlosreve' on social media platform X.
Notably, Samsung's M14 panels are organic light-emitting diode displays that offer improved brightness, more accurate colours and an extended lifespan.

(Previously, within the iPhone series, the M14 was used only in the iPhone 16 series' Pro/Pro Max models.)$AAPLAccording to another purported leak by YouTube channel 'Front Page Tech', Apple is reportedly changing the iPhone 17 Pro's camera design. While the triangular lens layout will remain, the camera bump itself is expected to be switched from a rounded square to a rectangle.
The Apple logo is expected to be at the centre. The Light Emitting Diode, Light Detection and Ranging scanner, and microphone are anticipated to be positioned in a vertical line.
The 'Air' variant of the iPhone 17 Air is rumoured to be the first non-Pro iPhone to feature a 6.6-inch OLED display with ProMotion technology and a 120Hz refresh rate.
It is also anticipated to run on Apple's upcoming 'A19' chipset. Leaks indicate that the iPhone 17 Air's price may be around Rs 89,900, the same as iPhone 16 Plus.
The new phone is also expected to have an aluminium chassis, in line with Apple's attempt to move to more compact and portable phones.
Rumours also suggest that the iPhone 17 Air would have a 6.55-inch display. It's also likely that Apple will focus on software optimisation for a single rear camera, aiming to achieve results close to or better than a dual-lens system (48MP + 12MP).
Its predecessor, the iPhone 16 series of phones, were first launched in September 2024. Running on iOS 18, the phone had a random access memory of 8 gigabytes and storage of 128 GB.
