Several Indian stars, including PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen, will be in action at the Singapore Badminton Open 2025, which started on Tuesday.

Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medalist, has not been at her best this season. Sindhu, now 16th in the singles rankings, claimed the women’s title at the Singapore Open in 2022.

Lakshya Sen has been going through a lean patch since claiming an Olympic bronze at the Paris Games last year. He has featured in six events since then and reached the quarter-final once.

HS Prannoy will also compete at the BWF Super 750 event. Former World No. 1, Kidambi Srikanth, has withdrawn from the tournament after becoming the runner-up at the Malaysia Masters recently.

Meanwhile, Malvika Bansod, only six spots away from Sindhu in the world rankings, will be looking to make a strong statement at the Singapore Open. From India, Anmol Kharb and Unnati Hooda will also compete in women's singles.

World’s No. 10 women's duo, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand, are set to return after skipping a few events in recent times. Tanisha Crasto and Dhruv Kapila will lead India’s charge in the mixed doubles category.

The men's pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, who reached the semi-finals of both the Malaysia Open and India Open, will be keen to replicate their A-game in Singapore. It will be their first assignment together since losing in the pre-quarter final of All England Open in March.
