(Bloomberg) -- A renewed outbreak of the virus is underway, but not all emerging-market and frontier economies are hit equally hard. Bloomberg Economics' ranking of 75 economies -- based on confirmed Covid-19 deaths, vaccination rates, mobility levels and the policy space available to cushion the economic damage -- shows those in the Gulf Cooperation Council and East Asia performing better than the rest of the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe and Latin America. Saudi Arabia, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, China, Qatar and Taiwan are performing best, while Jamaica, Lebanon and Ukraine are struggling under the strain of the pandemic.
