TCS Responds On Viral Photo Of Employee Camping Outside Pune Office Due To 'Salary Suspension'
The employee has been provided with accommodation and is no longer camping outside the office.

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. reportedly issued a statement on a viral photograph of an employee of its Pune office, stating that it has gotten in touch with him. The employee can be seen sleeping outside the Pune office on the sidewalk as a token of protest against the company withholding his salary.
The protesting employee, Sourabh More, claimed that the company had been withholding his salary for months. He had written on a letter photographed beside him that he has informed the human resources team of him not having money and that this has compelled him to sleep and live outside TCS on a footpath.
The company, in a statement issued to Hindustan Times, said that the employee was not being paid because he had taken an unauthorised leave of absence, and suspension of salary was part of the standard procedure.
However, since then, the employee has been provided with accommodation and is no longer camping outside the office. "The employee has now reported back and requested reinstatement. We have provided him accommodation for now and are supporting him in addressing his situation in a fair and constructive manner," the publication quoted the company as saying.
The employee had further claimed that he had reported back to Pune's Sahyadri Park office on July 29 to find that his ID was inactive on TCS systems. He then reached out to the HR team about the salary issue at hand; to which he had gotten assurance that he would be paid — something which allegedly failed to materialise. Thereon, he began living on the footpath outside the office.
