Operation Sindoor: PM Modi Defers Three-Nation Tour
Operation Sindoor was a tri-service operation targeting a total of nine terrorist infrastructure sites in Pakistan and PoK.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has postponed visits to Norway, Croatia and the Netherlands, people familiar with the matter told NDTV, after Indian armed forces launched precision strikes on terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan in a military operation on Wednesday.
The move, titled 'Operation Sindoor' by the PM, is in response to the Pahalgam terror attack two weeks ago that claimed the lives of 26 civilians. The Indian forces targeted a total of nine terrorist infrastructure sites in Pakistan and PoK, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence said on social media platform X.

Operation Sindoor was a tri-service operation involving all three wings of the armed forces, including the Indian Army, Indian Air Force and the Indian Navy, NDTV reported. The coordinated missile strikes were carried out by all the three forces. The Indian Army, in its statement, said the strikes were executed with precision to hit only terrorist bases. No Pakistani military facility was targeted, it claimed.
The forces used Kamikaze drones — also known as loitering ammunitions — weapons designed to crash into a target, typically carrying a warhead, according to NDTV.
The terrorist infrastructure bases targeted by the Indian forces were located in Kotli, Muzaffarpur, Gulpur, Bhimbher, Chakamru, Muridke, Sialkot and Bahwalpur.
India reached out to several leading countries, including the US, Russia, the UK and Saudi Arabia, early on Wednesday and briefed them about the military strike it carried out on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir, sources told PTI.
"I am monitoring the situation between India and Pakistan closely," said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as he echoed President Donald Trump's comments earlier today that this "hopefully ends quickly". The US will continue to "engage both Indian and Pakistani leadership towards a peaceful resolution", he added.
