Commuters who travel via the Blue Line of Delhi Metro are set to face disruptions on Dec. 5 after a cable theft incident that occurred between Moti Nagar and Kirti Nagar stations. Services have already been delayed on the line, leaving commuters, especially office- and college-goers, in trouble early on Thursday morning.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation confirmed the delays in Blue Line trains via a post on X.
According to the post, Metro services on the Blue Line will continue to face disruptions throughout the day as the issue will be rectified only after the end of operations at night.
“The cable theft issue on the Blue Line between Moti Nagar and Kirti Nagar will be rectified only after the end of operational hours in the night,” the DMRC said in the post.
Trains will move at a restricted speed in the affected area. “Since the trains will operate on restricted speed on the affected section during the day, there would be some delay in services,” said the metro rail operator.
DMRC urged passengers to plan their commute accordingly.
“Passengers are requested to plan their journeys accordingly as the journey shall take some additional time,” it said.
