Top 10 Most-Valued Firms Lose Rs 11,622 Crore In Market Cap As Airtel, TCS, ICICI Bank Drag

The top 10 most-valued firms lost a cumulative Rs 11,622.41 crore in market valuation on Monday, with Bharti Airtel Ltd., Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and ICICI Bank Ltd. emerging as the biggest losers.

Bharti Airtel witnessed a sharp fall among the top 10 most valued firms, with a loss of Rs 23637.71 crore, bringing its market capitalisation to Rs 9.54 lakh crore. Similarly, TCS saw a decrease of Rs 10980.9 crore in its market cap, which stands at Rs 14.12 lakh crore.

ICICI Bank Ltd. witnessed a market-cap loss of Rs 6316.93 crore, bringing its market cap to Rs 8.83 lakh crore.

Infosys Ltd. and ITC Ltd. incurred a significant market capitalisation loss of Rs 5,857 crore and Rs 2,064 crore, respectively.

Reliance Industries Ltd. retained its position as the most valued firm, followed by HDFC Bank Ltd., State Bank of India, Hindustan Unilever Ltd., and Bajaj Finance Ltd.

India's benchmark equity indices hit pause on their longest losing streak in two years, as shares of HDFC Bank Ltd. and Reliance Industries Ltd. lent support. Pharma and metal stocks rallied while information technology and autos came under pressure.

After a weak opening and intraday recovery, the Nifty 50 ended 30.25 points or 0.13% higher at 22,959.5, and the Sensex closed 57.65 points or 0.08% up at 75,996.86.
