Stock Market Crash: Delivery-Based Selling In HDFC Bank, Infosys, RIL
ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel recorded a delivery volume of 1.2 crore and 92 lakh shares respectively.
HDFC Bank Ltd., Infosys Ltd., Reliance Industries Ltd. and ICICI Bank Ltd. witnessed major delivery-based selling on Monday as India's benchmark equity indices hit a 10-month low.
HDFC Bank recorded a delivery volume of 1.28 crore shares, with a delivery percentage of more than 65%. The total volume of turnover stood at Rs 3,477 crore, with a delivery turnover of Rs 2,267 crore. HDFC Bank witnessed delivery-selling despite being under in Monday’s session.
Infosys Ltd. recorded a delivery volume of 1.39 crore shares, with a delivery percentage of more than 61%. The total volume of turnover stood at Rs 3,179 crore, with a delivery turnover of Rs 1,946 crore.
RIL witnessed delivery volume of 1.54 crore shares, with a delivery percentage of 65%. The total volume stood at Rs 2,750 crore, and the delivery turnover contributed Rs 1,797 crore.
ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel Ltd. recorded a delivery volume of 1.2 crore and 92 lakh shares respectively, with a delivery percentage of more than 60%.
Trent Ltd., which dropped over 14% in the session, recorded a delivery volume of 16 lakh shares, with a delivery percentage of 33%. The total volume of turnover stood at Rs 3,768 crore, with a delivery turnover of Rs 1,240 crore.
The other stocks which saw massive delivery-based selling include Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd. and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.
