Nifty Top Gainers, Losers On May 30: Eternal, SBI To Bajaj Auto, Hindalco

The NSE Nifty 50 ended 0.33% lower at 24,750.7 and BSE Sensex closed 0.22% down at 81,451.01.

Zomato parent Eternal Ltd., State Bank of India, HDFC Bank Ltd., Larsen & Toubro Ltd. and Bajaj Finserv Ltd. were among the top gainers in the NSE Nifty 50 on Friday.

Bajaj Auto Ltd., Hindalco Industries Ltd., HCL Technologies Ltd., Shriram Finance Ltd. and Nestle India Ltd. were among the top laggards.

Nifty Top Gainers, Losers On May 30: Eternal, SBI To Bajaj Auto, Hindalco

Eternal closed 4.98% higher at Rs 228.37 apiece, followed by SBI, which closed 2.09% higher at Rs 814 apiece. HDFC Bank ended 0.73% up at Rs 1,941.50 apiece. L&T gained 0.43% to Rs 3,672 per share, while Bajaj Finserv closed 0.32% up at Rs 2,017.40 apiece.

Bajaj Auto ended 3.1% lower at Rs 8,599 apiece, followed by Hindalco, which closed 2.51% down at Rs 633.7 per share. HCLTech ended 2% lower at Rs 1,631.50 apiece.

The benchmark equity indices closed lower on Friday, marking the second week of losses. The NSE Nifty 50 ended 82.9 points or 0.33% lower at 24,750.7 and BSE Sensex closed 182.01 points or 0.22% down at 81,451.01.

During the day, the Nifty fell 0.47% to trade at 24,717.4 and the Sensex declined 0.42% to trade at 81,286.45 mark. The Nifty index declined by 0.4% for the week, primarily dragged down by the Nifty FMCG sector. Overall, the Nifty index fell for the second week in a row, reflecting a volatile market environment.
