AU Small Finance Bank Block Deal: Tata AIG General Insurance Buys Shares Worth Rs 62 Crore

Tata AIG General Insurance acquired 0.12% stake in AU Small Finance Bank Ltd., worth Rs 62.44 crore through an open market deal on Monday.
The company bought 9.01 lakh shares or 0.12% equity of the private lender at Rs 693 apiece.
The seller, LeapFrog Rural Inclusion (India), sold 9.01 lakh shares, or 0.12% stake, at Rs 693 apiece, as per the block deal data on the BSE.
Notable, in the quarter ended March 2025, AU Small Finance Bank's net interest income increased 57% year-on-year to Rs 2,094 crore, meeting analysts' estimates.
The bank's net profit jumped 36% to Rs 504 crore from Rs 371 crore in the year-ago period during the same period, which was also in line with the estimates.
Shares of AU Small Finance Bank closed 4.03% higher at Rs 720.95 apiece on Monday, compared to a 0.14% decline in the benchmark NSE Nifty 50. The stock has risen 11.5% in the last 12 months and nearly 28.54% on a year-to-date basis.
Twenty-two out of the 32 analysts tracking the company have a 'buy' rating on the stock, five suggest 'hold' and five recommend 'sell', according to Bloomberg data. The average of 12-month analyst price targets implies a potential downside of 2.5%.
