Bollywood actor John Abraham has purchased a luxury bungalow in Bandra West, Mumbai, adding another high-value property to his real estate portfolio. The acquisition comes at a time when demand for independent bungalows in Mumbai's prime neighbourhoods continues to remain strong due to limited availability of land.

With only a handful of such properties left in areas like Bandra, Juhu and Malabar Hill, these transactions continue to attract significant attention in the city's luxury housing market.

Property Registered in July

According to property registration documents accessed by Liases Foras, the bungalow is located on St. Martin Road in Bandra West. The property stands on a 1,017.6 square metre plot and includes an existing bungalow with a built-up area of approximately 193.12 square metres, along with an outhouse measuring around 31.5 square metres.

The transaction was registered for Rs 84 crore, while the conveyance deed was officially registered on July 14, 2026. Documents also show that John Abraham paid Rs 5.04 crore as stamp duty for the purchase.

The freehold property was acquired from Naushir Eruch Divitre, Fredon Eruch Divitre, Crystal Firoz Divitre and Eruch Firoz Divitre through a registered conveyance deed. According to the report, neither John Abraham nor the sellers were available for comment.

Second Major Property Purchase in Three Years

This is not the actor's first high-profile property acquisition. According to property registration documents previously accessed by IndexTap.com, John Abraham bought a bungalow in Khar in December 2023 for Rs 70.83 crore. The property includes a 5,416 sq ft bungalow built on a 7,722 sq ft plot along Linking Road. The transaction was registered on Dec. 27, 2023, with Rs 4.24 crore paid as stamp duty.

Luxury Bungalow Market Remains Active

Mumbai's premium bungalow market has witnessed several landmark transactions in recent months. Property registration documents show that Notandas Realty, promoted by the Jagwani family, acquired Villa Wilson, a Spanish-style bungalow in Juhu, for Rs 135 crore in a deal registered on July 13, 2026.

Earlier, the sea-facing Leela bungalow in Juhu changed hands for Rs 221 crore, while the historic Laxmi Nivas bungalow on Nepean Sea Road, known for its association with the Quit India Movement, was sold for Rs 276 crore in February 2025, reflecting sustained demand for Mumbai's limited stock of trophy homes.
