Television actor Dipika Kakar has successfully undergone a medical procedure to remove a stomach cyst, months after battling Stage 2 liver cancer. Her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim, shared the update with fans through social media, assuring them that the surgery went smoothly and that she is currently recovering under medical observation.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Shoaib thanked well-wishers for their prayers and wrote that Dipika is stable after the procedure.
He added that she is experiencing some discomfort but there is no cause for concern. The actor said the cyst was detected at an early stage and doctors decided to treat it promptly, which helped avoid any major complications.
The couple had earlier revealed the diagnosis in their vlog, explaining that the development had initially worried them because of Dipika's recent cancer treatment. Shoaib had shared that during her earlier medical consultations, doctors had warned about the possibility of recurrence due to the aggressive nature of the tumour she had been treated for. However, the cyst did not appear in the PET scan conducted in December, and was discovered later through follow-up tests when some blood parameters showed a slight increase.
According to Shoaib, the doctors opted for a minimally invasive procedure instead of a major surgery. Dipika was expected to remain hospitalised for a few days for monitoring after the treatment. The actor also said that they were relieved the issue was detected in time and could be addressed quickly.
Even as she deals with her health, the couple has been trying to maintain a sense of normalcy. In his latest vlog, Shoaib gave viewers a glimpse of their simple and intimate Ramadan celebrations at home this year, keeping the atmosphere calm and low-key while Dipika focuses on recovery.

Best known for her role in Sasural Simar Ka, she underwent tumour-removal surgery in June 2025 after being diagnosed with Stage 2 liver cancer. Since then, she has been regularly updating her followers through YouTube vlogs and social media, often speaking about her treatment, emotional strength and the support she has received from fans and family.
