Salman Khan's co-star Daisy Shah, who has been in touch with the Khan family, shared an update about his condition, saying, “I couldn't meet Salim sir, but I am constantly in touch with Salman sir and his family. Speaking in a recent interaction with Filmygyan, Daisy Shah said she has not been able to meet Salim Khan personally but has remained in regular contact with Salman Khan and the family. She added that the procedure performed on him was successful and that he is now under observation. Her statement has brought relief to fans and well-wishers who had been concerned since news of his hospitalisation broke.

Earlier, the treating doctor had confirmed that Salim Khan had suffered a minimal brain haemorrhage and underwent a small medical procedure to stabilise his condition.

He was initially placed on ventilator support as a precaution, with doctors noting that recovery could take longer considering his age. In the days since, his health has shown improvement, and he continues to be monitored in the intensive care unit.

While the medical update offered reassurance, the Khan family has made it clear that they prefer to keep health-related matters private.

The veteran writer's hospitalisation saw several members of the film fraternity visiting Lilavati Hospital to enquire about his health. Among those who dropped by was lyricist and longtime collaborator Javed Akhtar.

The Salim–Javed duo was instrumental in shaping mainstream Hindi cinema in the 1970s and 1980s, penning blockbusters such as Zanjeer, Deewaar, Sholay, Trishul, Shakti and Don, and giving rise to Amitabh Bachchan's iconic “angry young man” image.
