Foreign investors have been betting on selective stocks even as they are on course to pull money out of Indian debt and equity markets for the fourth straight month.

Their best bet in the quarter ended June was Kishore Biyani's Future Lifestyle Fashion Ltd. Foreign institutional holding in the operator of Central and Brand Factory retail chains rose 9.72 percent—the highest among Indian companies.

Kolkata-based non-bank lender Magma Fincorp Ltd. and Fortis Healthcare Ltd., India's second-largest hospital company that has been in the midst of a takeover battle, follow. Brokerage Indiabulls Ventures Ltd. and mid-sized software services provider Mphasis complete the list of five stocks that foreign investors love.
