Tech Mahindra Opens 19th Office In US

The new facility will house a diverse range of operational functions, including consulting, delivery and customer support services.

Tech Mahindra Ltd. has opened its 19th office in the US, the company said in a release on Friday.

Those who were part of the inauguration of the new office included Plano Mayor John Muns, US Congressman Pat Fallon's Representative Melanie Royer, as well as customers and Tech Mahindra's senior executives.

Muns noted that tech innovation is crucial for the region's growth. "The new Tech Mahindra office will nurture local talent and contribute significantly to our economy, reflecting our shared commitment to fostering a thriving tech ecosystem."

The new facility will house a diverse range of operational functions, including consulting, delivery and customer support services. The company asserted that the launch of the America's headquarters in Plano city in Texas shows its firm commitment to the US market.

Tech Mahindra stated that it chose the North Texas location due to its access to a diverse talent pool and its vibrant business environment. The company serves various industries and caters to top clientele in the region, which highlights the region’s economic importance.

The new facility, which spans across 27,000 square feet and can accommodate 130 seats, marks an "exciting" chapter in Tech Mahindra's growth in North Texas, the company added.

Inovation Hub

"Texas' growth as a technology and innovation hub continues unabated," Lakshmanan Chidambaram, president and head of Americas Leadership Council at Tech Mahindra, said. "This space will enable us to enhance our innovation offerings, particularly in areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and cybersecurity, delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet evolving industry needs."

As part of its ongoing expansion plans, the company will also establish an innovation lab within the same premises. The lab will serve as a centre of excellence, focused on developing new technologies, accelerating innovation, and advancing research to address the evolving needs of clients across industries.

The company said that with its over 1,50,000 employees across more than 90 countries, it continues to play a significant role in driving technological innovation and providing advanced solutions to its customers in the market, and the IT services.

Shares of Tech Mahindra closed 0.64% lower at Rs 1,493.95 apiece on the BSE, compared to a 0.01% decline in the benchmark Sensex.
