New Delhi: Tata Motors on Thursday reported an 8.46 per cent decline in global sales at 80,151 units in July.
The carmaker had sold 87,566 units in the same month last year.
In the passenger vehicles category, global sales last month were at 49,001 units as compared to 46,684 units in July 2013 - an increase of 4.96 per cent, Tata Motors said in a statement.
Sales of luxury brand Jaguar Land Rover rose 12.24 per cent to 39,467 units as against 35,162 units a year ago.
Sales of commercial vehicles declined 23.8 per cent to 31,150 units from 40,882 units a year ago.
