New Delhi: Hit by a fall in sales, Shalimar Paints on Tuesday posted a net loss of Rs 2.10 crore for the fiscal first quarter that ended on June 30.
The company had clocked a net loss of Rs 3.13 crore for the corresponding period a year ago.
Net sales of the company decreased to Rs 86.07 crore in the April-June period of current financial year from Rs 113.30 crore in the same period in fiscal year 2014-15, the company said in a filing to the BSE.
The company has three manufacturing units. It also has 54 branches and depots across the country.
As of 2:45 p.m., shares in Shalimar Paints were trading nearly 2 per cent lower at Rs 136.60 apiece on the BSE.
