Petrol, Diesel Prices On Hold After Three Days Of Reduction
In Delhi, the price of petrol was at Rs 72.98 per litre and diesel at Rs 65.95 per litre on October 27

Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged in metros on Sunday after three consecutive days of downward revision. In Delhi, the price of petrol stood at Rs 72.98 per litre and diesel at Rs 65.95 per litre on Sunday - the same levels as the previous day, according to notifications from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). Currently, the prices of petrol and diesel are reviewed by oil marketing companies such as state-run Indian Oil on a daily basis, and any revisions are implemented at fuel stations with effect from 6 am.

The domestic fuel prices are determined broadly by the global crude oil prices and the foreign exchange rates. (Also read: September fuel demand slips to lowest in over two years)

In Delhi, the price of petrol has been lowered by Rs 1.15 per litre - or 1.55 per cent - so far this month, and the rate of diesel cut by 92 paise per litre (1.37 per cent), data from Indian Oil Corporation showed.
