“As we speak till today, we have bagged total orders worth Rs 11,645 crore, which is about 58% of the lower band. We have already shared about our order inflow guidelines with the Street which is Rs 20,000 crore to Rs 22,000 crore,” he said.

The top executive noted that the company was “quite hopeful” of achieving the order inflow guidance.

“If we really take into account all the awards, we have already achieved about 58% of our target. We are quite hopeful to achieve the order inflow guidance that we have shared with the Street,” he noted.

From the current order book of over Rs 52,000 crore, NCC expects to complete around Rs 12,000 crore in the second half of the fiscal.

Talking about the Daudhan Dam project, Sharma said, “What the project intends to do is to draw the water from a water-surplus area called Ken-Betwa and bring that water to the Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh, close to Jhansi. That is an area in which water continues to be a very scarce commodity.”

Shares of NCC on Friday closed 2.33% higher at Rs 310 apiece on the BSE, compared to a 0.96% climb in the benchmark Sensex.
