Mahindra & Mahindra, India's biggest utility vehicle maker, launched a special edition of its sports utility vehicle Scorpio on Wednesday.
The special edition Scorpio, which will be available in Pearl White colour, is priced at Rs 11.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The limited edition Scorpio will sport chrome plated alloy wheels and new upholstery, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) Ltd said in a statement.
The new variant is powered by 2.2 litre diesel engine and comes with features like rear sensors for easier reverse parking, rain & light sensors for automatic controlling of wipers and headlights, anti-lock braking system and airbags.
Only 500 units of the special edition of the SUV will be rolled out.
"With its classy appearance and plush interiors, I am sure that the Scorpio Special Edition will be an instant hit with consumers," M&M chief marketing officer (automotive division) Vivek Nayer said.
M&M has sold over 4 lakh units of Scorpio since its launch in 2002 and over 50,000 units of the SUV have been sold in the past two years, the company said.
