IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) offers the facility of booking rail tickets online via its website -- irctc.co.in -- and app. IRCTC, which handles catering, tourism and online ticketing operations of the Indian Railways, offers various channels via which you can book your train tickets. You can make the payments via platforms like net banking, debit/credit cards, and mobile wallets, among others. However, you might have to pay cenrtain extra charges when you make payments through these gateways. For example, for transactions made through digital wallet Paytm, IRCTC charges 1.80 per cent plus tax, said IRCTC.
