Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani Express On Push-Pull Mode Starts Services: Check Halts, Timings

Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani Express: The first Rajdhani Express train which operates on the push-pull technology on the Indian Railways network started services from today (January 19) and will run every day between Mumbai and New Delhi. According to the Central Railways zone, train number 22221/22222 bi-weekly Rajdhani Express with one first AC, three AC two-tier, eight AC three-tier and one pantry car, departed from CSMT will depart from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) every = Wednesday and Saturday at 2:50 pm and reached will reach Hazrat Nizamuddin station in Delhi at 10.20 am the next day, halting at Kalyan, Nasik Road, Jalgaon, Bhopal, Jhansi, and Agra Cantt stations. The train service hugely benefits passengers staying in the Central suburbs beyond Thane and Kalyan areas, as it gives them the option to travel in the Rajdhani Express by boarding at the Kalyan station. It is the country's first train to operate on the Push-Pull technology..Presently, the train leaves CSMT at 4.00 pm and arrives Hazrat Nizamuddin at 9.55 am next day. On the return journey, the train leaves Delhi's Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station at 4.55 pm daily and arrives at CSMT station at 11.15 am the next day..On December 30, 2020, the Central Railways zone had resumed the Mumbai-Delhi Rajdhani Express services, almost nine months after having suspended services in March 2020 due to the outbreak of the coronavirus infection. The railway zone also released a statement recently that the speed of the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai – Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Superfast special has was decided to be increased, including a provision of an additional halt at Gwalior along the route. .Ticket booking for the journey can be made at all the computerised reservation centres and through the official IRCTC website - www.irctc.co.in.
