Logistics operator DP World has announced the expansion of its women-led shifts to warehouse operations in Gujarat and Rajasthan, with plans to extend this initiative to Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. This move follows the successful pilot project launched last year at a sorting facility in Gujarat for a leading e-commerce brand.

The women-led team is responsible for core activities such as sorting, scanning, and categorising packages, ensuring efficient and accurate order processing.

The initiative has demonstrated improved productivity and operational efficiency, with the Rajasthan operations nearly doubling in efficiency due to the dedication and commitment of the women-led team.

Currently, women represent over 14% of DP World's logistics workforce in India, and the company aims to further increase this figure.
