India’s semiconductor push is creating a new opportunity for specialty chemical companies as the country builds fabs and advanced packaging plants. With more than 70% of electronic-grade chemicals still imported, companies including Aether Industries, Acutaas Chemicals, Tatva Chintan Pharma Chem, Anupam Rasayan and Archean Chemical Industries are expanding their presence in the semiconductor chemicals and materials space. Their strategies range from joint ventures and new products to acquisitions and semiconductor fabs. The theme has also driven sharp stock gains, with Aether and Acutaas among the biggest performers. However, elevated valuations remain a key factor for investors tracking the semiconductor-chemical opportunity.
