SEBI will give its revised Closing Auction Session (CAS) framework at least a year to operate before considering further changes, KVR Murty told NDTV Profit in a telephonic interview. The revised rules, effective December 7, change reference price calculations, restrict order types and introduce new trading cut-offs for index and stock derivatives. Murty said the regulator received responses from around 20,000 participants and conducted two rounds of public consultation before finalising the changes. SEBI will continue to gather feedback from market participants and assess how the framework functions, with further revisions possible after consultations if the need arises.
