Kaynes Semicon's New Unit To Start Commercial Production In December

Kaynes Semicon has begun low-volume production at its new semiconductor unit and plans to commence full-scale production from December, Raghu Panicker, Chief Executive Officer, Kaynes SemiCon told NDTV Profit. The facility can produce up to 1 million devices annually, while the company's Unit-2 has a capacity of 1.2 billion devices per year. Panicker said 80-90% of the semiconductor capacity could be utilised quickly, aided by partnerships forged over the past four years to help build a broader semiconductor ecosystem. The products manufactured at the facility can be used in applications such as industrial air conditioners and washing machines.
