Apple has launched the all-new iPhone 16e. With a slew of upgrades, the iPhone 16e is bigger and better than, although not quite as affordable as (it starts at Rs 59,900), the iPhone SE. It is one of the most affordable iPhones packing Apple Intelligence though.

The now-bigger iPhone 16e, with its 6.1-inch OLED screen, takes away some of the pain of the smaller typing pad of the earlier SE models. Adding to that is Apple Intelligence, which will make writing, creating and other tasks even more easier.

But what can you do on your iPhone 16e using Apple Intelligence? Here are 10 AI-powered features and capabilities.

1. Writing Tools

Using Writing Tools, you can create and illustrate original content, edit, summarise, and proofread text in Notes, Mail, Pages, and third-party apps. With Describe Your Change, you can specify the change you wish, giving you more creative expression.

2. Photos

The AI-powered Photos app can help edit pictures and make custom movies with a tap. The Clean Up tool helps remove distracting elements from photos, Memories allows you to make a movie with a prompt, and you can use natural language to search for a photo in your app and even moments within video clips.

3. Image Playground

You can generate creative photographs using themes, costumes, accessories, and locations, and also with your photo bank and add captions. It produces two types of visuals: animation, which has a modern, 3D-animated look, and illustration, which produces images with basic shapes, lines, and colourblocking.

4. Genmoji

Genmoji makes interacting with friends and family more fun. The emoji keyboard displays a Genmoji with multiple options with your input. Genmoji inspired by friends or family can be created using photos. Genmoji can be paired with accessories like a hat/sunglasses and can reflect themes/activities. The feature can be shared as a sticker/reply in Tapback or in messages.

5. Image Wand

Image Wand in Notes allows for creative note-taking and making sketches, animations, and illustrations. It transforms a rough sketch into a polished image when you circle it in a note. Even blank spaces inside notes can be circled, and it will provide a suitable image to improve the note’s appearance.

6. Visual Intelligence

You can learn about things and locations with visual intelligence. It can translate text between languages, summarise and copy content, detect phone numbers or email addresses and add them to contacts, and more. You can even ask for an explanation of a complex visual or search Google.

7. Siri

You can type to Siri (earlier was voice commands only) in situations when speaking out loud isn’t possible. With its richer language understanding, Siri follow instructions even when you stumble over your words and maintains context from one request to another.

8. Mail And Messages

You can use Smart Reply to quickly create an email or message with AI-generated responses. With Mail and Messages summaries, you can easily get the surmised context. Apple Intelligence also makes priority emails show up at the top of your inbox.

9. ChatGPT Integration

With ChatGPT integrated into Writing Tools and Siri, you can access ChatGPT’s capabilities faster without switching between apps. For security, IP addresses are obscured and OpenAI doesn't store requests.

10. Localised English

With the iOS 18.4 update, Apple Intelligence will reportedly be available in “localised English” to India and Singapore, along with other languages like French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and simplified Chinese.
