Are You Ready For Driverless Cars In India?

In a move that could revolutionise the transportation industry, Uber on Wednesday announced the launch of driverless car service ahead of Silicon Valley rivals and U.S. car giants. The tech behemoth has deployed a fleet of four autonomous cars on arduous routes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

While this may be a game changer, it's important to note that Uber was not the first company to do this. An MIT spinout, now based in Singapore, called NuTonomy launched its public trials last month in the city-state.

That begs the question – will driverless cars see the light of day in Indian cities like Mumbai that are plagued by issues of overcrowding and creaking infrastructure?
