It's only fitting that PBKS and RCB, who finished at the top two positions respectively after a gruelling 70-match league round.
During a pre-finals press conference on Monday, Punjab Kings Captain Iyer said that the job is "only half done". "It's not yet finished. We have another match tomorrow. From that mindset, my approach was that my job is half done. I have to come back tomorrow."
“We are not looking on the stage that we are in the finals. We will try to play our best cricket. We are not playing here for the stage. I always like to keep things simple,” RCB skipper Rajat Patidar said, during the press conference.
Earlier, during the Qualifier 1, RCB defeated PBKS by eight wickets to enter the final of the IPL on May 29. However, the Iyer-led side staged made its way back into the finals by winning the second qualifier against Gujarat Titans.
