Paytm Money, an equity investment and wealth management app, has launched a new service that allows investors to trade stocks with just a fraction of the overall value of the investment.
The service, 'Pay Later (Margin Trading Facility)', valid till March 31, 2025, lets traders have access to about 1,000 MTF-enabled stocks with an interest rate of 1 percent per month.
āThis launch of Pay Later (MTF) on Paytm Money would benefit traders and investors by making trading more accessible and flexible, particularly to those looking to enhance their exposure to the stock market without committing the full capital upfront. Additionally, it democratises stock market participation, making it easier and more affordable for retail investors across the country,ā the company said.
The service can be activated through account settings on the Paytm app. Besides, it can also be enabled while placing orders for shares eligible in the category by choosing the 'margin' option.
āOur 'Pay Later (Margin Trading Facility)' enhances the purchasing power of investors, especially those looking to increase their exposure to the stock market without committing the full capital upfront,ā said Rakesh Singh, managing director and chief executive officer of Paytm Money.
The development comes as Paytm Money, as part of a revamp for the app, recently redesigned its app and relaunched it, making investing simpler and improving user experience with personalised dashboards, advanced tools and intuitive interface.
"We are unveiling the revamped version of the Paytm Money app with some interesting features, designed to make the app faster, and effortlessly intuitive. The new app has a revamped homescreen, pinned indices feature, global search across all asset classes, all public issues within a unified view, advanced screeners, revamped F&O Dashboard and many more advanced features," the company said.
It has rolled out some important products in the last few months such as the Inclusion of BSE F&O. Traders now have the option to trade extra expiry days, with SENSEX and BANKEX Option contracts on Paytm Money, it added.
