Jordan’s Ambassador to Israel Set to Return in a Few Days

(Bloomberg) -- Jordan's ambassador to Israel will return to Tel Aviv in a few days, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi said in a press conference today.

The minister said Jordan will respect ownership rights in Baqura and Gharm after terminating two annexes in the Wadi Araba Treaty that entailed leasing the lands to Israel.

Jordan recalled its ambassador to Israel on Oct. 29 for consultations and in protest against the continued detention of two Jordanian citizens. On Nov. 5, the two were released and arrived in Amman.
