(Bloomberg) -- For U.K. stocks, the worst outcome in Thursday's general election may be a hung parliament, if history's any guide. The FTSE 350 Index has risen on the day after every vote since the 1986 “Big Bang” financial deregulation, except in 2010, when no party won a majority. The pound -- whose moves have determined the fortunes of both exporters and domestic-focused shares since the Brexit referendum -- is also forecast to slide the most in case of no clear winner emerging, weakening even more in the immediate aftermath than it would after a shock victory for the Labour Party.
