Larsen & Toubro Ltd. today said its construction arm won orders worth Rs 2,265 crore from Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority.
“The transportation infrastructure and water and effluent treatment businesses of L&T Construction have jointly bagged three EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) orders worth Rs 2,265 crore from Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority,” the engineering and construction major said in a BSE filing.
The scope of work includes investigation, design and construction of roads, drains, culverts, water supply, sewerage, sewerage treatment plants, utility ducts for power and ICT, reuse waterline and avenue plantation for land pooling schemes in Zones – 6, 7 and 10 areas of Amaravati Capital City.
Last week, the Infrastructure major won a Rs 2,100 crore contract from oil marketer Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. and billionaire Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Ltd., which involves involves engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
Shares of Larsen & Toubro rose as much as 1.6 percent to Rs 1,336 in early trade. The Relative Strength Index was 74, indicating that the stock may be overbought. Larsen & Toubro trades at 30.1 times trailing 12-month earnings per share and 27 times its estimates for the coming year, Bloomberg data showed.
