Fuel Price Today: Petrol And Diesel Prices In Mumbai, Delhi, And Other Cities Today

Petrol and Diesel are the most widely used fuels, whether it is for commercial travel or personal. Since the prices for these fuels keep fluctuating regularly, the Petrol and Diesel rates in India are revised at 06:00 a.m. every day. Hence, it’s a good habit to keep a track of the ever-changing fuel prices.

Fuel prices are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT), excise duty, and dealer commission. Hence, after the addition of these three, the fuel price usually doubles than it’s original price. However, VAT varies from state to state, leading to quite a difference in the prices. Moreover, these prices are also affected by other factors such as the cost of Crude Oil, the Rupee to US Dollar exchange rate, demand for the specific fuel, etc.

Metro cities in India haven’t seen much of a change in fuel prices for quite some time. In fact, the Petrol and Diesel prices in most cities remain the same. Let’s take a look at the Diesel and Petrol prices today.

• Mumbai - Diesel and Petrol prices in Mumbai haven’t seen a change in the last few days. Today, the Petrol price in Mumbai is ₹ 106.29. Meanwhile, Diesel price in Mumbai is ₹ 94.25.

• Delhi - Petrol price in Delhi stands at ₹ 96.76, while Diesel price in Delhi stays the same i.e. ₹ 89.66.

• Bangalore - Petrol price in Bangalore hasn't fluctuated in a while with today’s rate being ₹ 101.92. Meanwhile, Diesel price in Bangalore remainsunchanged at ₹ 87.87.

• Hyderabad - Petrol price in Hyderabad remains unchanged at ₹ 109.64, while Diesel price in Hyderabad is ₹ 97.8.

• Chennai - Petrol price in Chennai is the same as yesterday i.e. ₹ 102.62. Similarly, Diesel price in Chennai remains constant at ₹ 94.22.

• Kolkata - Petrol price in Kolkata remain unaffected at ₹ 106.01, while Diesel price in Kolkata remains the same i.e. ₹ 92.74.

While petrol and Diesel prices in most of these cities remain the same as yesterday or even quite some days, slight changes were seen in the fuel prices in the three cities namely Dehradun, Shimla and Srinagar. These cities witnessed a slight rise in the prices of each of the fuels.
