With this release, all eight episodes of the season are now available for streaming. Plot

The new season centres on Benedict Bridgerton and his Cinderella-inspired romance with Sophie Baek. Their connection begins at a masquerade ball where Benedict falls for a mysterious “Lady in Silver,” not realising she is actually Sophie — a resourceful maid living a very different life from the world of the ton.

By the end of Part 1, a major misunderstanding drives them apart after Benedict, unaware of her true identity, asks her to become his mistress. Part 2 follows his attempts to make amends and explores whether the two can overcome differences in class, perspective and circumstance. The story balances fairytale romance with the reality of social hierarchy, as both characters must meet halfway for love to succeed.

Other Things To Know

Inspired by Julia Quinn's An Offer from a Gentleman, the season presents a more resilient and self-reliant Sophie. The scale has also grown visually, with newly constructed Regency-era sets at Shepperton Studios recreating Mayfair in greater detail. Helmed by showrunner Jess Brownell and backed by executive producers Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica and Chris Van Dusen, the latest chapter delivers emotional closure while setting up future Bridgerton romances.
