Allu Arjun Leaving Hyderabad For Mumbai? Here’s What We Know

Speculation is swirling around 'Pushpa' actor Allu Arjun temporarily moving base from Hyderabad to Mumbai for his upcoming film 'Raaka'.

According to the Free Press Journal, the move isn't permanent, but could last between two to three years as the film's demanding shooting schedule will require the actor to be based in Mumbai for long stretches. Instead of frequently travelling between cities, Allu Arjun is said to be considering this shift to stay focused and avoid exhaustion caused by constant commuting.

Directed by Atlee Kumar and backed by Sun Pictures. 'Raaka' is already generating a strong buzz, especially after the release of its first poster. The film is being mounted as a large-scale pan-India action entertainer, with expectations high following the massive success of the 'Pushpa' franchise. Industry insiders suggest the project will feature a unique narrative style combined with high-octane action.

One of the biggest highlights of 'Raaka' is its star-studded cast, which includes leading names like Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Mrunal Thakur in key roles. This rare combination has sparked curiosity about how the story will balance multiple strong characters on screen.

Apart from the scale, what's also grabbing attention is Allu Arjun's intense physical transformation for the role. Reports say he spends around four hours every day on prosthetic makeup to get a rugged look. Removing the makeup takes another two hours, making it a long and tiring process.

Despite rumours of delays, sources indicate the film is moving ahead as planned. Allu Arjun is expected to complete his portions by the end of this year. However, given the scale of the project, a lengthy post-production phase with extensive VFX work is anticipated.

The makers are currently aiming for a theatrical release in the second half of 2027, although no official announcement has been made yet. For now, while the Mumbai move remains unconfirmed, it clearly reflects the scale and ambition of 'Raaka', which could mark another major milestone in Allu Arjun's career.
