Prime Minister Narendra Modi will spend Diwali with soldiers of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) at Mana post in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. On the special occasion, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi wrote an emotional letter to the PM.

Although the letter begins with Diwali wishes, it soon veers into accusations. Rahul writes that the government's actions in the last few days have led to the soldiers' morale going down. He demands immediate compensation for injured soldiers and speedy payment of pensions.

Rahul also asks for the ‘One Rank, One Pension' scheme to be implemented and for the discrepancies in the Seventh Pay Commission to be removed.
