Parts of Delhi-NCR experienced light rainfall on Friday evening, bringing much-needed relief from the intense heat that had gripped the region.
Showers were reported across several areas of Delhi, easing discomfort for residents following a spell of steadily rising temperatures.
The change in weather comes just a day after Thursday was recorded as the hottest day of the season so far in the capital and its surrounding National Capital Region.

District-Wise Forecast for Delhi-NCR
As per the official forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued on April 17, all districts of Delhi-NCR are expected to witness similar weather patterns over the next five days.
On April 17, areas including North Delhi, South Delhi, East Delhi, West Delhi, Central Delhi, Shahdara, and adjoining regions such as Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida, and Ghaziabad are expected to experience a generally cloudy sky with light rain. These conditions may be accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds with speeds ranging between 30 to 40 kmph, particularly during the evening or night.

From April 18 to April 19, the weather across these districts is expected to remain partly cloudy.
By April 20 and April 21, sky is likely to remain clear across the region.
