The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 registration for MBBS and BDS admissions is now available on the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA). Applicants can apply for the medical exam at neet.nta.nic.in, the official NTA website.
Before submitting the application, candidates are advised to keep their category certificates and Aadhaar/UDID information up to date in accordance with NTA requirements. For the NEET UG 2026, the NTA will open registration on Feb. 8 and close it on March 8, 2026.
The notice states that the date of the NEET UG 2026 exam is May 3, 2026. There will be 180 questions in the offline (pen and paper) NEET UG 2026 exam, and each question will be worth four marks.
NEET UG 2026 Fees And Dates
The notice states that the cost will be Rs 1,700 for general applicants, Rs 1,600 for OBC-NCL and EWS candidates, and Rs 1,000 for SC, ST, PwD, and third gender candidates. The cost is Rs 9,500 if a student wishes to take the test overseas.
Applicants must make sure that the fee transaction is finished by 11:50 p.m. on March 8, 2026, using a credit/debit card, net-banking, or UPI. There will be a revision opportunity for application form details from March 10-12, 2026, after the application window closes.
Identity Verification Via Aadhar eKYC
New application guidelines and improved security features have been added to NEET (UG) 2026 to guarantee registration process validity. It is now required for applicants to link their Aadhaar details upon registration since NTA uses Aadhaar eKYC for identity verification. Candidates must also take a live photo at the time of submission; this will be compared to their Aadhaar photo in order to avoid impersonation.
NEET Exam Dates
The NEET (UG)-2026 exam is set for May 3, 2026, and will run 180 minutes (3 hours) from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Other important dates, including the city notification announcement, the downloading of the admit card, the display of the recorded responses and answer keys, and the results announcement, will be announced later on the official websites, nta.ac.in and neet.nta.nic.in, even though the admit card will specify the specific exam centre.
Candidates must apply online using the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, according to the NEET (UG)-2026 application process. No other submission methods will be accepted.
