Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks on today's edition of his radio programme Mann Ki Baat.
He paid homage to all those who lost their lives during the 2008 attacks and vowed tougher security measures. “Terrorism has captured the globe and has become a daily occurrence,” Modi said.

He began the programme by bringing up significance of today's date when in 1949, the Constitution of India was adopted by the Constituent Assembly. He remembered the Father of the Indian Constitution, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, and said the Constitution is the soul of India's democracy.

His address marks the beginning of Bharatiya Janata Party's campaign in Gujarat. BJP leaders across the poll-bound state tuned into the Modi's address as part of the party's Mann ki Baat, Chai ke Saath plan to counter the Congress's chaiwala jibe at the PM, wire agency ANI said. After the program, party leaders will address huge public gatherings at various places across Gujarat.
