India has established a special control room to assist its citizens in view of the ongoing situation in the Middle East and the Gulf region, as the conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran entered its fifth day. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced in an ‘X' post that the control room has been set up to help Indians who may be affected in the region.
Randhir Jaiswal, the official spokesperson of the MEA, shared on ‘X,' that a Special Control Room has been created in light of the current developments in the Middle East. According to the MEA, the control room will function everyday from 9 AM to 9 PM. It can be reached through the following numbers:

In addition to the central control room, the Indian government has released emergency contact details for Indian embassies and missions across the region.

According to reports, earlier on Tuesday, the MEA said that nearly one crore Indian citizens are living in the Middle East and that their safety and well-being remain a top priority for New Delhi.

Meanwhile the Ministry of Civil Aviation on Tuesday said that special arrangements are being made to help stranded passengers.
Airlines are deploying additional capacity where necessary and are coordinating closely with foreign aviation authorities and Indian missions abroad to ensure safe and orderly movement of passengers.

According to the statement, a total of 24 flights are being operated by Indian carriers. In addition, Emirates and Etihad operated nine flights from the Gulf region in the past 24 hours. Indian carriers are planning to operate 58 flights on March 4. This includes 30 flights by IndiGo and 23 flights by Air India and Air India Express. Foreign carriers flying between India and the Gulf are also operating limited services, depending on operational and airspace conditions.
