(Bloomberg) -- France will stick to plans to loosen Covid-19 restrictions as the number of cases starts to fall slightly, government spokesman Gabriel Attal said on Tuesday.
“We're going to respect the timetable we presented to the French people, by lifting the restrictions in two stages,” Attal told France Info radio in an interview.
France will start by easing rules on wearing masks outside, working from home and limits on numbers of people at major events from Wednesday, Attal said. A second phase will take place on Feb. 16.
