(Bloomberg) -- Singapore's stock exchange is open for trading from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no pause for lunch, making it the longest trading day among Asia's major markets. The eight hours of non-stop trading is twice as long as Shanghai but traders may be about to get their lunch break back. The bourse scrapped the break in 2011 -- a year when the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd. also shortened their lunch hours.
