(Bloomberg) -- The House Oversight Committee chair has scheduled a roundtable discussion with former employees of the Washington Football Team to discuss allegations of workplace misconduct.
“For more than 20 years, employees of the Washington Football Team were subjected to sexual harassment, verbal abuse, and other misconduct,” said Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney in a statement. “It is becoming increasingly clear that not only did the team fail to protect employees, but the NFL went to great lengths to prevent the truth about this toxic work environment from coming to light.”
The roundtable on Feb. 3 will help lawmakers determine if any legislation is needed to protect against harassment, Maloney said.
